Founded in 2000 by two retired nurses Ms Malebye and Ms Rikhotso with the assistance of Ms Huma, a retired Social Worker as a social club in Atteridgeville. In 2002 was registered as a Non Profit Organisation under the name Atteridgeville Senior Citizen Care for the Aged (ASCCA No.021459). In 2002 ASCCA was registered with the Department of Social Development and qualified for funding. A Service centre was acquired in 2003 operating from the Dutch Reformed Church. In 2007 a Home care based service program was added for those who could not walk-in at the centre. 8 Care givers together with a Sessional Nurse were appointed. In 2018 a proper Board was appointed by the Beneficiaries and DSD Officials. In 2021 ASCCA registered with DSD under the Older Persons Act (Act 13 of 2006). The current board was appointed in 2022 by the Beneficiaries and DSD Officials
We operate with-in the confines of a Constitution that was approved by the beneficiaries with financial controls as well as other internal controls like Policies and Operating Procedures;
